I strive to create provocative artwork that makes the viewer uncomfortable.  I am making art that will affect the viewer subjectively through drawings, paintings, photography, printmaking, and neon sculptures.

In the majority of my drawings, I use charcoal, pastels, and house paint.  My drawings are very loose and gestural allowing for personal expression, as well as creating a dramatic mood.

My photographic series Love Battle addresses relationship issues that everyone faces.  The photographs are surreal narratives, with a dramatic dream-like setting.  The series focuses on a woman wounded through the pain of a failed relationship.  Initially, there is hope that the relationship will prevail; then, a struggle within the relationship ensues.  Finally, the wounded woman finds resolution and keeps her heart.  Through her struggle, the woman becomes powerful.

I have also, at this point, created three neon sculptures.  In The Positive and Negative Aspects of Murder, the black part represents death, and the red part represents blood and senseless violence.  In this piece, the neon is related to my drawings due to the theme it portrays.  This is an attempt to create a specific mood through the color schema.  It is very challenging to work in neon because of its technical aspects.

All of my artwork is intended to have a certain uncomfortableness about it....
