Allison Cole’s artwork shows a very unique sense of artistic expression.  Her work has been displayed in student exhibitions at Mississippi University for Women, and at the Houston, Mississippi, Flywheel Festival.

Allison has attended Mississippi University for Women, where she obtained a BFA degree in art education.  Thomas Nawrocki, the printmaking and design professor at MUW, has been an immediate influence on Allison’s neon sculptures.  He had provided many helpful suggestions to make her neon work what it is today.  Alex Stelio-Wills, the painting and drawing professor, has also influenced Allison’s work.  Without his guidance in her independent studies, she would not be the artist she is today.

Allison Cole was born in the small town of Eupora, Mississippi in 1981.  She is a natural born artist.  She remembers her first “great” drawing from when she was only 6 years old.   She received third place in the design category in the undergraduate show at MUW in the Spring of 2007, and second place in the drawing category in the Spring of 2008. She is an active member Kappa Pi, where she serves as the treasurer, Phi Theta Kappa and Torch.
